Heron is a charming, cozy two bedroom cottage located next to Moose House at Wakanda. It has over 200 feet of lakefront with a wonderful secluded dock and features a delightful screened-in porch facing the beach, sunset and campfire. The cheerful living/dining room has many windows and a fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped -- truly a pleasure to cook in. The master bedroom has a double bed and the adjacent bedroom has a twin. There is also a double-sized sofabed in the living room. The bathroom has a stall shower, sink, and toilet. Maximum capacity allowed is 3 adults and 1 child.
The front door is only steps from a gently sloped, sandy bottomed swim beach that is "just right" for kids. The beach, Adirondack chairs, and the swim raft have afternoon sun exposure. A variety of canoes and kayaks are available nearby for exploring the lake. An outdoor gas grill and picnic table in front of the house are surrounded by blueberry bushes and towering white pines. Trails from the front door go to Heron's private dock, along the shoreline and up the hill behind the house. Heron Cabin is a great family retreat!
