Screened Porch Overlooking the Lake

Loon Cabin is Wakanda's ecologically-friendly gem located just 35 feet from the water on a point overlooking the main part of Rainbow Lake.

Kick back, relax on the glider in the screened-in porch, and watch the sun, moon or stars reflected on the water. The opposite shore is New York State owned, undeveloped, and "Forever Wild;" it is easy to imagine being on the edge of the wilderness.

You may hear loons calling in the early morning or during an evening paddle. (No TV, internet, or ringing phones to distract you.)

Sleeping Loft & Main Room

Loon Cabin has a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, a main room with a twin bed/couch, a porch, and a ladder-access sleeping loft with a king-sized heat-sensitive foam mattress.

This cabin comfortably sleeps 2 adults and a child - perfect for couples or small families that need a break from "roughing it."

A private, eco-friendly bathhouse (Ducky Bath House) with a modern bathtub/shower, sink, and composting toilet is 25 feet from the back door.

The Morning Beach Swim Dock

Nearby, a gently-sloped, sandy-bottomed beach with morning sun exposure is equipped with Adirondack chairs, lounge chairs, and a swim dock. The afternoon beach around the point features shallow wading, a floating water trampoline, and sunlight from mid-day until sunset. A variety of complimentary canoes and kayaks are available for exploring the lake.
